3. Tax Preparation and Professional Services

Tax 2000 Inc. prepares tax returns based on information provided by clients and other available documentation.

We exercise professional judgment and follow applicable federal and state tax laws.

Our professional services do not guarantee:

  • A particular tax refund amount

  • Eligibility for specific deductions or credits

  • Approval of a return by the Internal Revenue Service or state taxing authority

  • A specific tax liability or financial outcome

  • A particular processing or refund date

Tax laws and interpretations may change, and results may vary depending on individual circumstances.

Additional services, including amended returns, audit representation, tax planning, bookkeeping, or resolution of prior-year issues, may require separate agreements and fees.

4. Tax Preparation Fees and Payment Policy

Tax 2000 Inc. charges fees for professional services based on the nature and complexity of the work performed.

Tax preparation fees are due when the tax return is completed and before electronic filing or other final submission.

Clients agree to pay the applicable preparation fees before their returns are submitted, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been approved by Tax 2000 Inc.

Clients who qualify for and elect an authorized Refund Transfer through Republic Bank may arrange for eligible fees to be deducted from their tax refunds, subject to applicable bank terms and approval.

Refund Transfer arrangements do not eliminate the client's responsibility for authorized preparation fees if the refund is delayed, reduced, offset, or insufficient to cover those fees.

Fees for additional services may be charged separately.

Applicable charges will be communicated to clients before payment authorization.

5. Refund Policy for Professional Services

Tax 2000 Inc. strives to provide accurate, professional, and dependable services.

Requests for refunds of tax preparation or other professional service fees are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Refund decisions may consider:

  • The nature and extent of services already performed

  • Whether the return or requested work has been completed

  • Whether the service has been delivered or filed

  • The circumstances surrounding the refund request

  • Applicable laws and contractual obligations

A refund is not automatically available because a client receives a smaller tax refund than anticipated, owes additional taxes, or disagrees with a lawful tax calculation.

Clients who believe an error has occurred or who are dissatisfied with a service should contact Tax 2000 Inc. promptly so the matter can be reviewed.

Any refund determination will be made in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the relevant service agreement.

Refunds or reversals involving Republic Bank financial products are governed by the applicable bank agreements and disclosures.

6. Electronic Filing Authorization

Tax 2000 Inc. offers electronic filing of eligible federal and state tax returns.

Before a return is electronically filed, clients must review their completed return and provide all required signatures and authorizations.

For applicable individual federal income tax returns, this generally includes signing IRS Form 8879, IRS e-file Signature Authorization.

Tax 2000 Inc. will not intentionally transmit a tax return without the authorization required by applicable law.

Clients are responsible for reviewing their tax returns and notifying us of any errors or omissions before authorizing submission.

Once a return has been accepted by a taxing authority, changes may require an amended return or other corrective procedures.

Additional fees may apply to amendments or corrections not resulting from an error by Tax 2000 Inc., subject to the applicable service agreement and law.

7. IRS and State Tax Refunds

Tax 2000 Inc. does not control the approval, processing, timing, or issuance of federal or state tax refunds.

Refund processing is administered by the Internal Revenue Service and applicable state taxing authorities.

Refunds may be delayed, reduced, or adjusted due to:

  • Identity verification requirements

  • Errors or inconsistencies in tax records

  • Outstanding tax liabilities

  • Child support or other authorized offsets

  • Government processing delays

  • Additional review or examination

  • Other circumstances beyond our control

Tax 2000 Inc. cannot guarantee when a refund will be issued or the final amount approved by a taxing authority.

8. Republic Bank Refund Transfers

Tax 2000 Inc. works with Republic Bank & Trust Company, Member FDIC, to offer eligible clients optional Refund Transfer services.

A Refund Transfer allows clients to request that authorized tax preparation fees and other permitted charges be deducted from their tax refunds.

Clients selecting this service may be required to complete additional applications, disclosures, and agreements provided by Republic Bank.

Refund Transfers:

  • Are optional financial products

  • Are provided by Republic Bank & Trust Company

  • May involve additional fees

  • Are subject to applicable bank terms and conditions

  • Depend on the availability and receipt of an eligible tax refund

Tax 2000 Inc. does not guarantee the timing or amount of funds distributed through Republic Bank.

Clients may choose to pay their tax preparation fees directly rather than electing a Refund Transfer.

Tax 2000 Inc. is not an FDIC-insured bank and does not hold customer refund funds.

9. Republic Bank Easy Advance Loans

Tax 2000 Inc. may assist eligible clients in applying for Easy Advance loans offered by Republic Bank & Trust Company.

An Easy Advance is a loan secured by an anticipated tax refund and is not the actual tax refund.

Easy Advance applications are subject to Republic Bank's underwriting, approval requirements, and applicable loan terms.

Tax 2000 Inc.:

  • Does not make lending or credit approval decisions

  • Does not guarantee loan approval

  • Does not determine final approved loan amounts

  • Does not guarantee when approved funds will become available

  • Does not act as the lender

Clients are responsible for reviewing Republic Bank's loan agreements, applicable finance charges, repayment obligations, and other disclosures before accepting an Easy Advance.

Easy Advance loans are optional, and clients are not required to apply for an advance to receive tax preparation services.

Refund Transfer and Easy Advance products are governed by Republic Bank's applicable agreements and disclosures.

We handle personal and tax information in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including Internal Revenue Code Section 7216 and relevant financial privacy requirements.

Taxpayer information is not disclosed for unauthorized purposes.

Where legally required, appropriate taxpayer consent will be obtained before information is disclosed to third parties.

Clients are encouraged to arrive on time for scheduled appointments and provide requested documents in advance when possible.

If an appointment must be canceled or rescheduled, clients should notify Tax 2000 Inc. as soon as reasonably possible.

Incomplete documents, delayed client responses, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may affect service completion times.

Tax 2000 Inc. may reschedule appointments or adjust estimated completion dates when reasonably necessary.

Any applicable appointment or cancellation charges will be disclosed separately before they are imposed.

13. Filing Deadlines and Extensions

Clients are responsible for providing necessary information sufficiently in advance of applicable tax filing deadlines.

Tax 2000 Inc. cannot guarantee that returns submitted for preparation close to a filing deadline will be completed before that deadline.

Filing an extension generally provides additional time to file a tax return but does not automatically extend the deadline for paying taxes owed.

Clients remain responsible for any legally required tax payments, estimated payments, interest, and penalties.

Tax 2000 Inc. will communicate filing responsibilities applicable to the services it has agreed to perform.

14. Accuracy, Errors, and Corrections

Tax 2000 Inc. strives to prepare accurate tax returns and provide professional services consistent with applicable standards.

If a client identifies a potential error, the client should notify us promptly.

We will review reported concerns and determine whether corrective action is appropriate.

When an error is attributable to Tax 2000 Inc., we will address our professional responsibilities in accordance with applicable law and the relevant service agreement.

When a correction is required because a client provided incomplete, inaccurate, or previously undisclosed information, additional professional fees may apply.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions eliminates rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
